Is there a tutorial manual?
« on: January 24, 2007, 05:41:07 pm »
I was wondering if there is a manual for WinMX that I can print out, to refer to? My eyes do better with a print out than reading on the monitor. Thanks... :?:

Hi Chip,
only thing i can say is either copy the help tutorials onto a word document (the pic's probably wont show unless you integrate a vewer with the word doc.) then you can print out the word docs, that way choosing the one's of most interest to you,
or you can do the same on my forum, but mine is just raw text without the pic's if you prefer, (link below) or even pop into my room and d/l the complete guid that i happend to find in someones files this is on notepad and zipped as a pack ready to print, (room name below)

Hiya Max, thanks for the helpful reply. How do I find your "room" for the complete grid? Otherwise, as you suggested, I can just cut and paste into word.
Have a terrific day...Chip

Hi Chip,
in my signature (under the red links) is the room addy and here => Ladies & Gents Castle_B5B513521A2A
add that to your filter strip top of channels screen (you see a black strip next to a filter button) then click join and you're in

I appreciate your help, but I guess I am being dense this morning...What is the channel screen? I see a search option and tried putting in the Ladies & Gentlemen, etc. but don't see where that shows a grid or manual? Sorry for the trouble, Max....Chip

Hi Chip,

If your using WinMX 3.5x you can click the Chat button located at the top by Networks, Library, etc.. then you should see a screen that is listing all the chat room names.. above those is a filter bar where you can copy from here and paste to there the name Max gave you... making sure you dont copy any extra spaces behind it.  THen once its there click the Join button on the far right of it...

I might also suggest you have a look see at the tutorials page there is lots of good easy to read info there as well for beginners to get started...
