Thanks, that answers my question really- not suspicious, but incomprehensible, so no use to me as a non Japanese/Chinese speaker.

Try to avoid video files with such names as they typicially have subtitles in Japanese or Chinese...
Sometimes they don't, be sure to preview the file though before you download it........

Cheers :P
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)

I am having all sorts of trouble with winmx this time around.  After the shut down I was able to get it working again with the patch.  But I ran into the problem of the primary connection after some time.  I am able to look under secondary connection and download but I cant even get search results this time around.  I have tried the port forwarding and no luck.  Both with 6699 / 6257 and 16699 / 16257.  I have McAfee Security Center, dont know if that might be an issue.  Any information would be appreciated.  Hope the pix helps!  Thank you!

Dont know if this information is pertinent but when i used the port scan test I could never get an open TCP port for any value.  But the UDP were fine.

hi livinxnxsublime

From looking at this attachment im not seeing any actual info about the rules you have set so far.. so let me just tell you a few things..

When your making this New Custom service you need to have it like this

Service Name: WinMX
Global Port Range: 6699 - 6699
Base Host Port: 6699
Protocol: TCP
Enable

Service Name: WinMX2
Global Port Range: 6257 - 6257
Base Host Port: 6257
Protocol: UDP
Enable

When you are finished, click the Next then Close button.  Then select the application you created using the Service Name drop down box. Then click Enable to enable it.

Do that with Both new rules.

Is this how yours is set, and are you sure that the 'Current Profile' is set to the PC that is running WinMX?

You brought something to my attention with it being the right profile since it said default.  So I decided to click on the static nat button and it showed the computer name.  When I selected it, the current profile changed to default0.  Very interesting!  So i go back to winmx and the primary is working perfect.  Thank you for your help!  You are a life saver!
