Hashing of files added to shared

Hi all, just a curiosity question here.
If I dl a file to a folder other than my shared, then move that file [unaltered] to my shared, will it still get the same hash and be added as another multipoint dl source for that file?

i would presume so yes if say you downloaded (example) an eminem song from limewire, and someone else downoaded there EXACT same song and you both shared it on WinMX it would be same hash..

the hash is a checksum based on the file contents to identify the file

if the contents of the file stay the same but it gets moved and renamed and whatever else, then it's still the same file, so has the same hash
if however the contents change, but the filename stays the same and it stays in the same place, it's no longer the same file, so the hash changes
