I want to start sharing .rtf text files. How would a person search for them, when the search window only offers audio, pictures and video, please?

if u click on text u will see Text (.text .rtf)

Uhm, I have looked hard at the Search window, and I see 'Audio', 'Video' and 'Pictures' buttons, and a bunch of other buttons, but nothing called 'Text' that I can click on as suggested. See below:

If you click on the one saying "MP3Audio - Any Bitrate" in your search you'll get a drop-down list where you can select "Text (.txt, .rtf)".

If you want that to be your default on every new search you can adjust it under Settings > Search > Default Search Parameters

Mine's set to Video files for instance

Well, that certainly answers it; thank you. I had no idea those options were hiding underneath that button. Add this to the wish list for a new design client: all choices visible on the main page.
