file mismatch

hey, I have been getting a lot of file mismatch.  I trim some off the end and retry, but when I do get connected, it shows 0 rate next to the file.  Next to the person's id, it shows a changing rate, but the dl file never gets bigger, no matter how long it goes.  Anyone else have this problem?

I must confess that while I'm certain the advice regarding mismatch works, if i see the error actually happen, I usually browse the person the mismatch was from (have to catch them fairly quickly) & then manually download from them to a new file, or use search for similar & start over

Ive seen this happen and it is usually because the file was not trimmed enough.  WinMX can read it but cant seem to add to it.  The fix is as Merlin suggested or to just keep trimming until you've removed enough for WinMX to be able to add to the file again.
