Ive tried most of the solutions on this page without success. I dont know whats wrong. Ive opened up ports on the router and in the firewall in vista, and ive tried the patch and everything. Still doesnt work. Im ussing nod32, might that cause the problem? I have no idea of how to get it to work. It used to work with xp with the same ports opened on the router.

Ok, close winmx then click this link provided below:

https://www.winmxworld.com/files/autochanger.zip

Once downloaded, double click the file named:

Auto-Change Hosts File.exe

Then, re-open winmx and wait for it to connect. If it doesent, let us know.

it said that it couldnt copy files, but it worked anyway. Well thanks for the help.

Hi, I have similar issue with Vista... WinMX wont connect at all. I tried autochanger but it wouldn't install. Still without WinMX since the WinMX shut down. Please help.

Hi

Posted this problem in another thread but I may as well post it here as well.

I am having the same problems with no connecions using Vista. I tried updating with the new patch for existing connections, but it seems to only allow patches to WinMX installed on C drive. I click the button to browse to another drive and folder where I have WinMX installed, but it only allows C drive. Is this just me or a limitation of the patch? Any help appreciated.
