For some reason my winmx will not connect today. It was working fine a few days ago. I am seeing on top it saying PATCH LOADED...CONNECTION ERROR.. It will not make a connection though. CAN Some one please help me?

you extract the hosts file from the rar file you dlownloaded and put it in windows/system32/drivers/etc folder making sure it over writes the existing hosts file that is there.............
reboot winmx it should then connect...............

I have patched and over-hosted as best as I can following the lates instructions, but the message in the top lefthand corner remains: Having Problems? Could Try WinMX.com.

Unfortunatlly too many people don't appreciate what they have or the efforts of others to give it to them. Winmx was/is the best p2p site there is. If too many people bitch and whine about it, who can blame KM from closeing it down. It's not like he's getting paid for it. Maybe if enough people let him know how much they appreciate the work he put into it, he may relent and all will be well again. If not the people like me who do appreciate his efforts will have lost out to the whiners.

Hello . I am using WinMx version 3.53. I have downloaded this patch : hosts.rar . However when I try to connect to WinMx all it says is "Connecting" Can anyone tell me why I cannot connect anymore?

Ok, i installed the new reconnection patch for xp and in my bar it says "Welcome back from" winmxworld. Does this mean i installed it right and i'm good to go?

It should say:

Welcome Back from: WinMXWorld !!!

If it doesent, then reinstall the patch. If it does. Try rebooting your PC. If it still doesent connect, let us know.
