Having problems connecting....keep seeing a statement winmx is or has shut down......is this true ?

Winmxhas not shut down, merely km has decided to stop hosting the caches.

Is this just a temp problem as i having trouble trying to load these? will things just go back to normal later if i just leave or does this have to be done.....i will be happy just to wait instead of loading things on my computer which i dont undersatnd

Ok mate

Just grin and bare with us atm we have a lot users online trying to get the file.

I will add here as well.

1. download patch,
2. open patch,
3. open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
4. close winmx ,
5. open the patch window and drag to the drivers\etc folder,
6. restart winmx

And that is it guys.

ive been a mx user for years i played by the rules but some did not i have made friends from the 4 corners of the world who i love and respect dearly but now they r lost ive tried everything 2 get back on2 mx but nothing ive done patches host files but nothing so it looks like im not meant 2 have mx anymore but a big ty 2 all of u that kept it going and those that still are love and kisses toffs

I have tried to follow what was needed to be done but to no success either.......looks like i will have to wait till this situation sorted ( hopefully very soon)...thank you for the good work you do on winmx and hope to be back on soon.

Mine wouldn't connect with the hosts file that's being given for downloads but I copied the text from reply #6 (this is different to the contents of the downloadable .zip and .rar host files) and pasted it into the hosts file in windows/system32/drivers/etc and now it's fine.

Are you connecting as primary or secondary?

Taken the post from here( 6)...it places it in system 32 place but still dont work...what did i do wrong......i cant get the connection for a prime connection either when i load wizard back.
