Hi ...

Having problems getting my FXS Hosted ChatRoom to list with the WPN.

Obviously the old "ws2_32.dll (Simply download and add to your FXServer folder.)" routine no longer works.

So is there a new Third Party connection .dll available, if not then when will it be?

from winmxgroup site "btw, it's a 5 minute job to make your own, open the patch with a hex editor and change all references to winmxgroup.com or winmxgroup.net to winmxworld.com (although they have yet to add the entries to the DNS servers, a 2 second job on the servers which would need no update to the client to activate) " will this work with the ws2_32.dll in fxs ??

Yes I saw that too, it was added to the bottom at https://www.winmxgroup.com/ (KM must be feeling the backlash).

Well I've got several Hex Editors in my aresenal, lol, so I'll give 'Hex Editing' my ws2_32.dll a go while I'm waiting.

Well I 'Hex Edited' my ws2_32.dll, replacing nine occurrences of 'winmxgroup.com' with 'winmxworld.com'. There were no occurences of 'winmxgroup.net'.

RESULT: It didn't work!!

PS: Maybe per Km's after-thought notice, this bit of it ... "(although they have yet to add the entries to the DNS servers, a 2 second job on the servers which would need no update to the client to activate)" ... hasn't been done.

The WCS Hosted Version of my ChatRoom is now ALSO not listing in/connecting to the WPN ...

For the time being.... As long as you have the new patch operating correctly.... u can have FXServer use yourself as a primary if your able to connect as a primary that is.In the FXServer config:

Change the following 2 entries

/setWpnOption UseLocalWinmx=1
/setWpnOption LocalWinmxPort=6699 <---- choose the port u run winmx on (note this will only work on the beta version of FXServer

Did as you suggested (yes, with FXSv1.3.10Beta11), got the one connection per my FXSv1.3.10Beta11's Interface but still no listing in WinMX Peer Network's Channel List!!

It'll all resolve itself in due course I expect.

An inconvenience caused by a smarting KM, who may have lost interest in WinMX for whatever reasons but nevertheless could have handed over the reigns of his 'solo' act WinMX Group Patch/.dll for the benefit of the greater membership whatever his differences with the few in the Community.

yor new patch won't let fx server connect why and will it be fixed to do so and it did not work with what you said to do to the wpn

Hi hellbound if your referring to FXServer running off yourself on primary....this will only work with FXServer 1.3.10 Beta and you must be connected as Primary with your WinMX.... It does work i ran it all day yesterday before i changed connection method.

fxserver comes with a hosts file which is the recommended connection method of its author and probably the best you'll get atm. you can watch winmxworld to see if anything better comes up but i believe a new version of the main winmx patch is taking higher priority right now.

Ok guys here is some news that I know you have patiently waiting for and thankyou for that.

I have got currently fx server working. I am currently testing it as we speak. I will keep you guys updated on how it is going.

I will give you more information to go with it soon.

penmax my 1.3.9fxs is running fine can pas u on a copy of it if u like until 1.3.10has a fix just pop in
