It took me two hours to make sure the router haden't burped or that I had the right patch, but when it was all said and done... it connected!

Downloaded and installed patch, restarted WinMX, and BADABING.

Thanks to all those who made the change so quickly!

For what it's worth..

I too was unable to connect over the weekend of June 30/Jul 02, been keenly reading the connection threads, and guess what?...

Connected instantly yesterday and very quickly started downloading. This without installing any patch whatsoever: Patience indeed!!

(Just hope I haven't spoken too soon.. )

How long does it take for initial connect

It varies, some it take seconds, some it takes minutes upon hours. But usually it takes seconds or minutes.

Some people have told me they have went to bed with winmx running waiting for it to connect, and when they check in the morning it took 7 hours to connect, but after that. It's been connecting within seconds.
