WCS Connection Problems

im using wcs and since the update of patch here at winmxworld i get no primary connections at all, and others i know now have no connections since the update

Put that file into the same folder wcs resides in and restart.

Actually.. atm.. lol

The third party DLL is designed to redirect programs that were looking for the old frontcode caches and WCS 1.7.4 is hard coded to look for winmxgroup caches.  So.. basically there is no other way atm then to update your WCS to the new 1.8 series. 

To be honest the 1.8rc5 release is very stable, has many new features to use and KM's done a great job on it.  My advice is to upgrade to that release.

well you *could* redirect winmxgroup lookups in hosts.. although the winmx/patch installer would destroy such entries..

or you could *possibly* unpack the exe & hex edit it to point to the current cache setup...

it's not *impossible* to make it connect, but getting 1.8rc5 is lots easier

Hmm, I didn't think about KM making wcs use his own patch, lol - sorry about the misinformation :oops:
