Until yesterday everything worked fine with the latest update for WinMX.
Today, I wanted to connect, but the traffic light kept indicating yellow

I wouldn't mind any delays on connectiong, but I waited 15 minutes without success

So I decided to return to the former hosts file of 3 KB.
What happened ? ----> WinMX connected after a few seconds :twisted:
I tried the latest hosts file again. No connection...
Can anyone explain to me what's going on :roll:

Ah, I installed the newest patch now, and WinMX connects reliably again

Am I right in assuming that the latest hosts file became modified again :roll:

Hi Rolex, i'm glad you found the new patch release OK and that u connected immediately, that is after all, what we strive for here.
Regarding the hosts file entries, all 'unrequired' winmx entries will have been removed so that the patch can take control of which servers you connect to, to ensure that you do not recieve any fakes/floods in your searches.
