only recently my mettis has twice flooded the room with triggers that have been used for nearly 2 years with no problem, by flooding the room it kicks everyone one out  any ideas what may be causing this recent problem ?

First of all...Metis is a bot (plugin for a client) not a client. Secondly, I'm sure it's a script that's triggering it's self. If you know which script it is that's being triggered, a little added security would stop it from doing that. Also, you could consider switching over to 2.8b1m4. It doesn't seem to have any problems with it triggering it's self like the older versions.
