Can't download unable to recieve uploads

Hi guys, I'm currently running winmx 3.54 on windows vista home, with a 2 wire at&t dsl connection and I'm using ports 16699 and 16257. Also, I have the 3.5 patch installed with P=5 and S=0. I am unable to recieve any uploads. But I can download some files. Only the files that say connected negotiated. Not the files that says waiting for incoming connection. Can you guys help me please?

Hi Crownprince,

Its likely that there is still an issue with your ports either in the 2wire or a firewall not allowing uploads, as for the download those are likely fake files.  The patch your on (3.5 is a Pie Patch) and infact all pie patches cant filter those out of your results for you.

My first suggestion would be to get the patch that can filter for you its located here:

The Set Up For Existing Installs should remove the other patch and install the filtering one for you.. You wont need pglite or peer guardian any longer with this either.

As for your uploads make sure that when you set up the rules in the 2wire that you added those to the firewall allowed rules as well.  If you can get me the model number of your modem I'll be glad to give you the 'this is how they should be' instructions for that to make sure.

Also if you are using the Vista Firewall make sure you have those ports set up in it as well please.

great thats the same model I have, the instuctions on Port forward are pretty good for it.  What I like about this one is that you wont need your IP address but instead it set up by your Computer name.

If your not sure which computer on the network is yours (by name) you can find the full name at Control Panel > System Icon > Computer Name.  Make a note of that.

Next information that your going to need is the Gateway IP that we need to contact the router configuration pages.  This may depend on the firmware installed from your Internet provider so its best if we just make sure what that is first.

Go to Start > Run > type in      cmd 
Then click OK
Now in the black Box that appears type in          ipconfig
Then hit Enter key.

You should now see your Default Gateway Address, write this down.

From here you should be able to follow the directions from here:
