*Frowns* I've been at this all day...

I can't get my WinMX( verson 3.53) to download either. I'm not for sure if anything is uploading either. I installed the patch from the link on this site and I can connect as either primary or secondary just fine, search just fine. Everything works just as it did before the "WinMX incedent" except downloads. I click on the song, and it goes to the Transfer screen just like always, but they all just turn red (time out). Is anyone else experiencing this?? Oh, and I apologize in advance for my ignorance *lol*

You must not have forwarded your ports. Please go to www.portforward.com to see your router model and see how to configure it to allow winmx. Please make sure to allow winmx on your firewall.

alternatively drop into the winmxworld chatroom, someone will test with you using known good files & setup, it's possible you're trying to get a fake file.. did you put -user in the second search box to help eliminate them from your results?

I am having trouble downloading and uploading from my winmx i ahve 3.53 version. it was working great a couple of days ago but now when i go to download it says connecting,negotiating then turns red and says disconnected. this also applies to my uploads.

Can you tell me a bit more about your system and set up.

modems , routers, firewalls, antivirus and such.. patch etc..

Also do you know of anything that has changed?

i'm really not a computer person at all but i will do my best to provide you with the information that you need. I have DSL connection with a modem and I go through RoadRunner I use EZArmor for protection on my computer. I guess that would include the firewall also. It does now do uploads but I still cant manange to download from anybody including my MJ members. I will get in their Que and then it goes to negociating,connectiing then turns red and says dissconnected. I hope I have been helpful to you. Thank you so much

Hi Jenell,

I would as I mentioned before disable the firewall in your ezArmor and install the Sygate firewall instructions and download link are there. Disable the XP and EZArmor firewalls after its done and retry.
