HSPDA CONNECTION

Hello everyone, I have just connected in the uk with an hspda connection via a wireless modem with t-mobile. My connection speed is 3.6mbps. I can connect to winmx & download but the downloads are very slow, usually 0.something. The biggest problem is that no one can connect to me at all. I have always shared on winmx although uploads speeds were never fast with ntl. If anyone can help me with this i would be very grateful as i perish the thought of having to use limey wire!!!!thanx in advance.

I would recommend that you set your WinMX to what we call Passive Secondary mode, this means to open Settings and set Incoming TCP to Unable to listen on...
Then click on In/Out UDP and set this to Unable to Send or Receive ....

With the set up you have this is the best possible solution I think.. as far as that also make sure your on the correct patch which can be found here:

 https://patch.winmxconex.com/

If your unsure it says Patch Online with the website address for help in the update bar.. if yours doesnt say that or is blank get a new patch to be sure.  This one blocks the riaa and keeps fake files out of your searches for you which may improve your ability to finish and get good files.

Thanx very much for your reply. My impatience got the better of me when i wrote the question because i then found that you had given the same advice to someone else & I followed that & it worked so really you got it right twice!!! I also sorted my download because I didn't realise I was connecting to 2 different types of 3G rather than HSDPA. My modem is now hanging on a window handle & is connecting properly. Thanx again for your help, you seem to know pretty much everything about winmx & you've saved me from Limewire!!!!
