my WinMX has failed to Connect all day long i know you think it takes a while to connect but no this is different it has failed to connect all day (it has also happend to my FXS for a few weeks now)

the MXPie Patch

i can still join rooms but its been 2 days now & still is not connecting

We are still here and connected.. Try running the patch and making sure ports are the same in your router, firewall and winmx

best thing to do would be delete all instances of winmx and patches u have on ur pc and start a fresh, only use 1 patch not both, take a look in fx connections there is a new ws2_32dll there for ur server works fine with mine, as i had server probbs too

Agreed with lovejoy291 a fresh start doomer and get rid of that damn pie patch ( or at least run one or the other)
uninstall pie from add and remove progs and run a search of your pc for any instances of pie using the start>>>>> search >>>> then type in pie do the same with winmx clear the lot then do a total fresh install from

Can you open winmx and tell me if you have the WS2 file or the OLEDLG.DLL please as I think you might have them both mixed up

you know....u really need to be a lil bit more forthcoming with your information.....your posts are short, many, and you apparantly dont read half of them which is extremely frustrating for the people trying to help you...

they spoke of both the WinMXWorld patch and the PIEpatch that u have installed...they spoke of WinMX.... those are the ones u need to remove and then reinstall ! nowhere is there mention made of FXS having to be removed...

for FXS they mentioned you should get the ws2_32dll. He did not ask if you had the ws2_32dll already....he said there is a NEW version of the ws2_32dll and this is what you should get.

People are trying to help you....you fire questions at them like theres no tomorow yet you do not read the answers....you only come up with more questions based on the answer given and that shows u havent even taken the time to read the answer properly or maybe u expect everyone else to solve the problems u have....

on many topics now people have told you to goto the tutorial section and read....things are clearly explained there and if you still dont understand they are still here to help you out....even this seems to be a challenge for you tho....as its pretty clear to me now that you ask a question only to then ignore the answer and do your own thing...

time to start working with us Doomer...u can not expect us to be able to help you if you refuse to work with those that are trying to help you....take your time to read the answers people are giving and if you have questions then atleast give more information then the usual " Somethings not working here, FIX ME " post u have placed sofar !

i forgot to tell you this

in my Program Files i cant find WinMX folder & i cant find it anywhere else
its very strange cos the WinMX folder is no where to be found & WinMX still opens

Go into start... search type in winmx and tell me where the file is please
