Although this is great news for WinMX in general, it also goes to just how popular P2P still is by showing that there are still several different programs running strong despite efforts to halt them.
1st - Winny .... (27%)
2nd - LimeWire .... (18.8%)
3rd - WinMX .... (15%)
4th - ?? .... (< 15% && > 7.4%)
5th - ?? .... (< 15% && > 7.4%)
6th - BitTorrent (7.4%) "With tens of millions of users"
Even if the two unnamed are used 14.9% each, that leaves 2% for at least one other P2P program. Given the unlikely nature of this, there are more likely 2 or more other programs that are used by a large number of users, and if IRC or IM are not included in these stats, those are a whole different set of programs that many people use.
In other words, filesharing has barely even been dented by those who think it should be eliminated as something illegal even in the many cases when it isn't.
