Jellyfish,

Look in our Archive section for WinMX.  Be sure to stop during the installation test of connections, and choose to configure those manually.  You should see the option to set your ports there..

Listen on port ............ for TCP should be 6699
Send and recieve on port........... for UDP should be set to 6257.

then finish the installation.  Then go to the following site for instructions on the patch.

https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/kms_patch.html

Now you will be ready to start up WinMX and wait for a connection... this can take longer then the original connections so be patient..

Burrito that does mean Oct. 6th. and yes its advised that you replace your .dll patch with this updated version.

Reason for update was to fix the error it receives if it cant contact this site for updating the block list in it..

I'm so confused. I don't remember if I had a primary connection or a secondary connection before when I first installed Win MX. I don't recall if I had it sent to send and receive datagrams on port 6257 or if I had it set for people with firewalls who are unable to send and recieve dataports. I'm not sure if it's the patch that's not working or if I am not configuring WinMX right when I am reinstalling it. I wish I had never uninstalled it. I am totally lost.
