Hi for over a week now some disgrunted and probably displaced person has been cloning my username and going around every room on winmx daily spamming my room address
( Diamond Movie Zone) This person hides their real i.p behind a proxy server also and has cloned other usernames from my room. Please note it is not me or anyone from my room it is someone that
must have no life and is intent on stiring trouble for myself and my room.

I apologise to anyone that has been spammed but sadly this person in damn persistant

it is a shame when someone works so hard to keep there room going we are here to have fun not to be cloning peeps as for birdman M4L and all the other support rooms are here to help u

As the spammer is using a proxy to hide their ip and spam rooms ive come up with a script to stop them entering a room via their location which seems to be mainly china and japan. If anyone would like it please contact me, its for use in mettis

Hi birdman,

i ve been in your room under my winmx alias telling i had a redirect script too, at the moment i have three of them active and the third should catch him after one spam.. i think that last one will work (if it does i ll remove the first two cause they are a bit rough and could redirect the wrong people too)..be prepared for him to enter your room, i hope you ll give him a warm welcome .... lol
btw he obviously uses a bot too

heads up mate .. he ll get bored someday

Iam confident i know exactly who has been cloning my username and spamming rooms with my room address reasons being although they have been hiding their real ip there are facts prior to the spamming and during that point to one person
1.The ip of the person who cloned my room the same day as the cloning and spamming started (ips cannot be hidden when hosting a room)
2. Details in the spam (personal to me)
3. All started the same day i had heated words with another user
4. Being taunted in the spam details and also recieving pms from the spammer again taunting me
5. Her room was closed during the spamming but has now re appeared now the spamming appears to have stop

I guess anymore spamming i will point people in her direction as i have better things to do than be dealing with angry room hosts who have been spammed

Yes I have posted an ip, but this person spammed my room and many others. This is not any sort of fight between rooms, I am too old to bother with that crap, but before everybody goes storming into a certain room, just be aware that it is a clone.

Ive had several reports of this spamming as well many many rooms and feel that warrants leaving the post as is, although Mick your not a MXHosts member yet? We do normally post things like this in that section for admins and hosts to have access to.

Its not our policy to post ips or get involved in naming and shamming whoever it is, we simply don't care who it is, I'm leaving Micks post for room hosts to be able to prevent it happening in their own rooms.

I think another word to the wise here, if you're thinking of going into the rooms to jump on hosts keep in mind this is usually exactly what this type of person wants you to do. They are usually not affiliated with the rooms they mention at all anyway.
