Yahoo Attempting To Escape Microsoft Clutches

This is a very worrying time for the search engine company.

After weeks of first fighting talk and then stony silence, Yahoo has at long last made a move to escape the takeover clutches of Microsoft.
The company has announced a two-week experiment during which it will show search-driven Google adverts alongside the search results of Yahoo's website.

There is just one way for Yahoo to escape the loving, albeit suffocating, embrace of Microsoft.

If the advertising experiment with Google is a success, Yahoo can prove to potential suitors that its online properties - and the millions of eyeballs that they attract - are still highly valuable.
However, it would also prove that Yahoo is struggling simply because it has been badly run.

Being a Google fan myself I,m not too concerened over what happens to Yahoo but as the article states between these two companies ( Google & Yahoo) they control 90% of online advertising revenue, there must surely be a conflict of interest if one of these two companies sells out to the already Borg like Microsoft company, whose own Live search is small beer by comparison.

I'm pretty much a google user myself also but the strongarm tactics that Microsoft is using to attempt to take over Yahoo is a bit concerning to me. If you'll notice when you do searches these days a lot of them appear to go through Microsoft anyway. It bothers me that one company will such a huge grasp of what the online world is into and that there seems to be no relief in the form of privacy any longer. The less grip they have on the web the better I think and personally I'd like to see Yahoo pull out of this without having to surrender to them.
When you wake up each morning always try to remember tomorrow is never your option, it's God's. Love like you want to. Live like you aren't afraid. And ALWAYS try to remember that even if it seems personal it's never as important as something you may have forgotten to do today.
