Hi, Just recently I can't seem to connect to WinMX from Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 1700 and 2230. Also on Saturday and Sunday from 0900 until 2230. Apart from these times, I connect with no problem. It seems to me that my ISP is somehow blocking or filtering out my connection, as it happens to a fixed timetable. Have I got it right that its due to my ISP, and if so, what if anything, can I do about it. Or could it be from some other reason or problem? I am using Vista with WinMX 3.54 latest patched.

Hi Dette,

It is infact your ISP Dynamic DSL also known as Tiscalli which owns pipex and bulldog as well.. They completely block the connection and there is no way to fix it at all.

Its of interest to note however that in doing so they are in breach of thier own contract with you and this leaves you free of any contract pay out if you decide to move to a new ISP over it.  One quick call to Ofcom and you can make a complaint with them about it as well.

I wish we had a better fix for you, but the only answer is live with it, or move ISP.
