Is it okay to run winmx on a 512 kbps connection

Hi. I was just wondering if It would be possible to run winmx on a 512 kbps connection with 3 computers using a router running.I am downloading Japanese files every week.I am afraid that I won't be able to upload/download anymore.We will be downgrading our internet from 1mbps to a 512 kbps connection.Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

There will be no problem continuing your file downloading Richard, WinMX works at even lower rates such as 14.4k as it was designed when those sorts of rates where common and 56k the norm.

I started using winmx when I had a 56k still remember the 1st three files I downloaded.. waited for over 2 hours for them to be done (speeds were slow then ).

Should work without any problems, just make sure that ports are forwarded
