Hi Goose

From memory I think it is Nero 7 and up converts and burns. Nero 6 will burn dvds after they are converted.

I hope this helps.

Yes it should. check if your DVD player supports dvix... then you can cram upto 6 movies into 1 dvd if it does...
Just use the video dvd option.

Cheers :P

Hi Goose it sounds like you might not have the proper codecs installed. You can download a free codec pack from here
http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/download/0cd2794ea469f8552bd375dda29c21f5/

If you give that a try post back and let us know how you made out   :)

A great app to use for burning any kind of movie file to a dvd is  ConvertXtoDVD
This app has no need for extra codecs (although it never hurts to have them on ur pc)
As it has all its own codecs it needs to work with
It is also a very easy and user friendly app to use with no need to alter any settings from there defaults to get good results
That is as long as your happy with dvd movies in 16:9 format
Why not give it a go and feel free to message me or post back here if you get stuck or need any more help.

Hi reef
Downloaded the codecs and yes it works, have managed to copy 2 avi to dvd with ulead DVD 4

I did notice that when I added the files to ulead DVD 4 it said it need to compress the bite rate or someting like that  to fit on the dvd, funny because the files are only like 90min long and the dvd I am using is 2 hours?

Also if conveting  avi files to a format that nero 6 will read, to burn to dvd is there any loss of video or sound Quality

Thanks heaps so far guys

Hi Goose
The reason it's compressing the bit rate is because the files are converted to
vob's and for a 90 min 700 MB avi they will be well over 4GB.

To obtain the best quality use a prog like DrDivX to re-encode the files before
converting them to vob's.

I've used many different progs to convert over the years but non beat WinAvi IMO.

Ofc the easiest way is to do as SamSeeSam says and use a dvd player that supports
DivX and just copy 6 or 7 avi's onto a dvd as data files.

hope this helps,

When I used it a long time ago, it was just a convertor...
http://www.winavi.com/en/video-converter/video-converter.htm

But it seem it can burn it onto a dvd too...

Cheers :P
