No Search/Downloads/

Managed to install version 1.9 eventually and all was well. Had my PC on all day and have searched & downloaded with no problems. Uploads have been working fine too, then I had to exit the program for a while. Now I have reconnected, the uploading is ok, but I can't get any searches so cant download anything. Search doesn't bring anything up at all. Can anyone help please.

Hum... my suggestion would be to restart MX as it sounds like you have ahold of a bad primary and searches arent ging through them well..

Let me know when youve tried this .. ty..

I closed winmx and restarted it. It seems to be ok again now, but it took a long time before I could get any searches up again. Not sure what could have caused it, but I hope it's not going to be a regular thing. What do you mean by 'ahold of a bad primary' and is there anything I could or should do to prevent it from happening again.

There is not alot you can do to prevent this..

Bad Primary.. what I mean by this is a primary that is not using either our patch, sherwood, or peerguardian with the block list we have.

They are over loaded with fake secondary connections to the point of loosing thier own connection to the network,  If you caught up in this mess of flooding then if can cause intermitted problems with search results..
