how do I shut off the annoying beep every time I select a file in winmix?

Hi Pcn,

The sound your hearing is not from WinMX but from the Operating system your using.  Since I wasnt entirely sure which one you're on here is a guide for XP, if however you're on a different system a quick google search may help you to find ways to disable some system sounds for events.

Keep in mind this particular guide shows how to disable the system event sounds entirely I believe, so further research by you may be needed to disable 'file selection' noises or wav files.
