« on: March 03, 2009, 02:51:34 am »
When i was installing winmx it said it was unable to receive Incoming TCP connections. I installed it anyway but it said if I had incoming TCP connections that i would get a larger selection to download/upload from. Can anyone please help with this issue? PLZ?

Hi badmammajamma63

What router/modem are you running? As you will need to forwarded the ports to allow for this.

Hi badmammajamma63

What type of connection do you have dial adsl etc...? You should be connected to the net through possible a modem/router? Could you tell me what it please so I can find a page to assist you in this.

1) you use the port listed in your winmx settings. the guide shows you where and how to find that settings.
2)according to the page the ip should be "172.16.0.1" thats what you type in internet explorer.
3) your welcome =) this is one of the most complicated things a user can do but dont back down its all worth it.

your not supposed to put the default port setting in IE.
you are supposed to type "172.16.0.1"  without the quotations.
if this address does not work post back and i will write out a post with screenshots of how to make it work.

you will need to perform this step anyways
but the default gateway is what you type in your web browser to access your modem
