Hi
I am using WinMx 3.54 beta 4
But last few days ive been having problems connecting, my ports are set in my router to TCP 6699 / UDP 6257
When i run the wizzard it says the ports are not reckognised, so i click the NEXT button and eventually it will connect on
Primary(which is what i want)
But nothing appears in room channels...nor in any music searches....this is doing my head in.....whats wrong ?

I dont want to sound dim, but which ports to change ?
in router portforward or WinMx itself
also what would i change them to please

Hi Gypsyroadhog

You will need to change them in winmx and router. Ummm try putting a 1 in front of them or TCP 6698 and UDP 6256. You might also need to adjust these in your firewall as well.

Also can you please check and see if you get a search list on secondary and chat list.

Dont know ahts going on now
when i go to portforward part in router it doesnt display WinMx
And when i then go to add Custom Service, do service name as WinMx,TCP, starting point 16257, ending point 16257, server IP and click Apply it says
" Service name already in use, and cannot be used twice. "

You have two options then, either create a new application name called "WinMX2" to place the rules on or reboot the router to clear it and restart from scratch.

I did pop in Winmx help room to, no1 spoke but i did notice they had put up some thing about 1.0 patch.... If you are using the WinMX Community Patch 1.0 we recommend you to remove it
WHY ? as thats what my Winmx came with...Eagle patched version.

I can connect remote from my pc to yours and quickly fix the settings for you ..
