Hi folks- well I am having a similar issue as others here.  I cannot set up a primary connection.  I was following the instructions on port forwarding and when I went to Netgear's home router page and tried to use the static IP that was generated by Simple Static IP the Netgear page now tells me:

(192.168.1.136) is managing this device

Does anyone know how to fix this?  I am unable to access my details on routerlogin.com anymore and only get the above message.

I have a Netgear WNR834B and use Comcast.

goto http://192.168.1.136 ... see if that gets you a configuration page...

You had the Netgear's home router page open when you ran the simple static ip.
That changed your ip so the netgear thinks someone else is accessing it.
You need to unplug the router and plug it back up so that it closes the session with the old address and lets you open it again.
