Howdy,
I live in the most awesome place in the world. NW Washington State in the North Cascade Mtns.
Haven't run WinMx in almost 16 months and decided to see what was up. My son wants to load WinMX on his system but all I can do is find bogus commercialized BS where they want you tp pay.... I was an avid user as vmaxdad from 2000-mid 2006 running 24/7 but got spooked over the RIAA stuff.
is it safe to run again?  Or will I have to defend my system to a bloody end? I have a new 1TB drive that is packed as well as a 500GB that it took me years to compile that I will share again soon but just don't have time right now.... I am busy helping our planet 16-hours a day 7-days a week and do not have much free time right now. I'm gonna check out your site and hope to find what I need.
1. Is it safe to run MX?
2. Do you have a link for downloading the latest version of MX?
3. Is winmxgroup defunct?

Hope you dig the pic. It is from the top of Sauk Mtn. Near my home. It was cool scramblin' around trying to catch the sun right at the top of the Old Groth Snag... kinda makes it look like a candle.
Peace,
Frank :walk: :walk: :walk:

Just like to welcome you & your files back to winmx  ReWarrior ... to answer your questions

1/ It is safe to run winmx as no one to my knowledge has been prosecuted for doing so as yet (but with anything not strictly legal there is always the possibility)

2/ The latest versions/patches can be obtained from the link below just click on it

https://patch.winmxconex.com/                           <<<<< free as intended to be

3/ No winmx is not defunct .... its live and well and working fine im pleased to say

Great pic btw....perhaps when you are up and running you might want to search for FASTSTONE Resizer  that way you can reduce pics a little so i dont have to stack two screens on top of each other to look at it

Any help you may require feel free to post back and someone will be sure to help out   :)

hello to all winmx users without all of you winmx wouldn't be what it is, i was on winmx since 2002 until 2006 i didn't have time to mess with being on internet as work taking up to much of my time but as soon as i got extra time again by changing jobs i got the computer fired back up and headed straight for my favorite site, winmx  the chat rooms changed a little bit so i started hanging out in the winmx world help room and have made some Friends in the room and enjoy helping others with whatever computer problems i can give advice on  glad i came back it was great in the past and it is great now nobody will take winmx down as long as the users have any thing to do with it..
