Author Topic: Please - A Button To Jump To 1st Post Since Last Visit (Read 1847 times)

Many other boards have a button with each thread on which a member can click to be brought to the first post since the last visit in that thread. Might it be possible to add this feature to this forum as well? It's a small convenience to not have to scroll down and find the last post read, but it would be a welcome one.

Ive never seen this button but i have seen the one where it goes to the most recent post. which usually causes people to be utter assholes

I know the button you mean - on the right hand side of the page, and it shows the latest post in the thread, but it's not what I mean.

Are these forums where the button is available using the same forum software (SMF) as we are?
I'm not aware of it having this feature available by default but there might be some mod.
In that case it would be helpful if you could ask exactly what mod they're using.

If there's a mod available for smf forums I don't see a reason why we shouldn't implement it...

And btw, in your profile under "look and layout preferences" you can at least set it to show the most recent post on top...

Well, it looks like someone has solved the problem, as a blue button that says, 'New', has appeared on my screen, which I haven't seen for a long time, and it does the job I have been asking for. Thank you to whoever is responsible.
