Hi, I used to be able to upload/download files.
Then I format my HD & reinstall everything (winmx included)

Now only those with cable speed can dl from me.
I also noticed that now it's really difficult for me to dl from people.
I can still dl, but not as many as I used to be able to.

I'm behind a LAN & I don't know what the Router is.
Is this another port trouble or what? 

I have made exceptions for windows firewall

now apparently those with DSl can also dl from me.

but I still almost can't download anything!

did you install MxMonitor  / moni ?
sometimes by default moni has stupid ignore by speeds set as default
what is actually happening with these users that 'can't connect'
are they timing out on incoming connection ? etc
in winmx settings 'file transfers' running / pending -- uploads /downloads -- default timeout is 45 seconds
try increasing these to 300 sec..
swing by the online winmx help room
I am sure they wont mind seeing if you can connect to them in there

Apparently I forgot to enable "Files and Printer Sharing" in the Windows Firewall...
Now it seems to be working.
