It seems yet another round of false and ludicrous claims are being made by the BPI (a recording industry group), the problem with their claims are that they conflict with their previous claims.
http://www.p2pnet.net/story/29021British telecom company BT has come under sharp attack from Vivendi Universal, EMI, Warner Music and Sony Music’s BPI (British Phornographic Industry).
It’s, “refusing to punish internet pirates who cost the music industry at least £200million a year despite being led to the culprits” says one tabloid
And (gasp) that’s despite being handed a list of 100,000 alleged BT ‘illegal’ file sharers, compiled by the ever-vigilant labels.

The story has BPI mouthperson Geoff Taylor saying.
“It’s shameful for a company like BT to know that a high percentage of the traffic it carries is illegal material but do nothing. If you operate a commercial service and know it is being used to break the law, taking steps to ensure it is used legally is a cost of doing business.”
UK broadband revenues have soared in the past six years while music sales have fallen every year due to piracy, he says in a tabloids story.
Another take on the same story..
http://torrentfreak.com/bpi-decries-isp-inaction-against-100k-music-pirates-090928/So what we are really seeing here is yet another round of cheap claims and near-lies being trotted out by the BPI so they can stay in the news while the government deliberate the future of internet privacy and possibly the lack of it due to selfish music industry drama, selling out the privacy rights of the UK's entire internet using populace to earn themselves a few gold coins similar to the actions of judas in the bible is the real Shameful action in this story.
