Cache Servers down?
« on: October 03, 2009, 01:57:57 am »
So I have been using the pie patch (.info) for the past few years and have had no problems. (I know it's not good and i have switched to the community now, and i can't believe how much faster it connects now)

But for the past day i have not been able to get connected, secondary or primary. I let it sit for 20+ minutes and just seeking.. or connecting...

i looked in my hostfile and tried using telnet <ip> <port> and it didn't work

any ideas?

MxPie.info seems to have closed up shop without telling anyone.

You can get the Community Connection Patch from http://patch.winmxconex.com

Just install over your old WinMX, and you will be connected in no time.

If there are still entries for winmx in your hosts file something must have gone wrong with the community patch setup.

The community patch needs NO entries in the hosts fiel, please try and rerun the installer for the community patch which should take care of that.
