In 2007, the popular BitTorrent tracker OiNK was shut down by Dutch and British police. Four users of the popular BitTorrent tracker have already been sentenced to community service and ordered to pay fines. The trial of site admin Alan Ellis started today.
The trial of OiNK administrator Alan Ellis is underway. Yesterday the jury was picked and today it was revealed that Ellis had $300,000 in several Paypal accounts when he was arrested, allegedly gleaned from site donations. The jury of twelve has been warned not to do any independent research on the Internet.
