Its been a long struggle folks but we have reached our 5th year of site operation
Over the years we have seen many folks come and go and lost some of our more popular characters and friends along the way, I would like to think they are with us in spirit if not in body today.
What started out as a small fledgling WinMX support site has grown into the larger-than-life sprawl of content and material with as much help as we have been able to pack in, many of the support team here past and present are well known in the community for their help both here and their own private sites or chatrooms and lets be honest we wouldn't be where we are today without many folks who took a share of the work here spanning many years so firstly to you all a big thank you !
To many of you our users we seem to have something special here than many sites don't have and I like to think we do, its confidence and trust in each other with everyone pulling together in times of need to keep the community intact, its not been an easy task and many users have left to seek networks new but strangely the majority all return year after year to locate friends made on the network and in many cases their friends are still here enjoying life as though time had stopped, in a sense it has for us all as the world is often thrown into chaos and carnage much of the fallout has no effect on WinMX users, it is to put a simple analogy on the matter a "time capsule".
We may not all enjoy a real life of riches and the easy life but one thing is constant across the network, you are who you want to be and only your own actions can change how others comprehend you, real life means little in the rooms except something new to discuss for a few minutes before the topic goes back to more interesting pursuits, what those are and how folks interact with each other is based simply on how the participants act or have acted in the past, this then is the underlying bond between us all, its the most important thing we take from the chat room and I hope bring with us to this site, trust.
We at the site here thank you all for your trust and support over the many years and we hope that we have lived up to your expectations from what is a 100% volunteer run site, now enough of the serious talk lets simply remember that we are a community of friends and no one can take that from us.Happy Birthday folks
