When will the patch be available? Unknown Is anyone actually working on this yes or, is WinMX truely a dead network now? i personally have no comment on this but....... its been said that 60% of the users have left.... (anyone have new stats on that?) Also, add to your list of hacking problems, limited connectiveity. a lot of the ips claiming to be primaries are fakes.... so winmx tries to connect to... nothing... persons doing a private browwse of my share directories cannot always see my share files network traffic is saturated... more bandwidth is being wasted and shoving the usable traffic aside... have you tried opennap?

When will the patch be available? This problem has been going on for MONTHS now !!! Is anyone actually working on this, or, is WinMX truely a dead network now?
Also, add to your list of hacking problems, limited connectiveity. I am not not trading as sucessfully as I used to because persons on the network cannot find me, and, I cannot find them either, severely limiting the number of persons in my que, limiting my ability to share.
And - the search problem is NOT limited to the general search in the search window only, persons doing a private browwse of my share directories cannot always see my share files, and I cannot always see theirs either. This problem seems to be intermittant, as opposed to the general search problem, which is always screwed up now.

There are many variations of the start search and stop fast technique, however settling on just one criteria to say is good or bad will simply find the attacker changing their attack profile to fit that criteria however all tips and help are much welcome Love_Your_Enemy, cheers !!

TEMP SOLUTION:
(1) AFTER A FEW MINS, STOP SEARCH (2) SORT BY USER COLUMN (3) MOST FILES FROM SAME USER, SO LOOK FOR USERS LISTED ONCE
GOOD LUCK !!!

Often when the original site is down I normally try to link to the same files in the archives to ensure folks are still able to enjoy the files, the problem really is one of time, with all the effort to do other things some portions of the site have been overlooked, I'm sure one of the site staff will give a few minutes to checking over any issues folks point them too, cheers for the heads up Jackie If anyone has their own site they wish placed in our links section thats mx related please let us know and we will add you to the links section, to my knowledge a small handful of sites are not listed but plainly we dont feel happy linking to sites of abusers and those who disrupt the community negatively however such things are never set in stone as people and attitudes change over time and thus so do the links.

Dont make the mistake Josh of acting like you are a paragon of virtue as we all know your not, you stated something to me and now you have changed your tune and hide out with your buddy Pri who was the guy who gave KM Eagles peer cache src and the community patch src, this all went on with your knowledge and its only when you knew you would be blamed you sold KM out to me, for that alone you can be forgiven but please dont ever talk down to me as I find your whole behavior in not keeping your word unsavoury and I would urge anyone thinking of doing so never to trust you, you may want folks to forget about your involvement in this but I dont think you should get off that easy.
By your actions shall you be remembered.

Don't try to drag me into any recent incidents ghostship. That one coversation was months ago and the information given to you was of relevance to when km was the one listing fake rooms and sharing those 'important' files. It has no relevance to the urreny situation unless you have concrete evidence to support your claims of km and nb attacking the network beyond their admission of doing so months prior. You must of interpreted what I said incorrectly as you will see your consistent pestering for more info in that conversation only led to me telling you there was no more. So unfortunately you can't have what doesn't exist.

Josh I have the entire convo taken from the winmx PM window in screenshot and you clearly state you have other material, I now call upon you to deliver that material as you said you would, its not so much I dont know KM is behind many of the network attacks with NB but it makes a lie of his claim to have been doing this over the blocklist and thus is very important new information to a lot of folks.

I'm sorry, just because you refused to see what was in front of your face doesn't mean the evidence wasn't there.

Nothing to do with you refusing to deliver the other evidence you promised 2 months ago of KM asking you to join his attacks then Josh ?
I dont forget your promises even if you do, if you support or aid the attackers be sure in most folks mind you too are listed amongst their ranks.

I think we can safely say "TomTom" is not a winmx user of any worth as they are posting to the forum as a guest and from a cell phone in the USA, I have the impression this is a chap who lives in Washington and likes to hide behind other names and trash talk winmx, water off a ducks back "Tom"
If I wished to give my opinion I would do so under this account as I have for the last few months. Unfortunately all differing opinions are oppressed and the postee is belittled and talked down upon so I abstain from doing so.

Indeed, I know many folks who would willingly walk through fire if they thought it would fix the present issue, thankfully thats not necessary and work is still continuing and thus we can all sit tight and have hope
