I found revealing videos of children had been downloaded....

I was making up a playlist from my boyfriends media player and some child porn videos were on his video playlist. Most of them said they were incomplete, but after fast forwarding thru most of them... I am not sure. Is it possible that he did   "accidentally" download these videos without his knowing thru WinMx? The video download dates range from 12/2004 to 9/2005. Could they have been part of a large group music or videos that he downloaded for free and they snuck in?

The fact is its possible maybe to "accidentally" click on one of  these yes..

But its not possible to download things bundled or to continuously download these types of files or any type of file without knowing it.

3 or 4 in the middle of a few thousand other videos could be an accident, but if say there is a directory full of just those sorts of videos then i'd say probably no accident, or if there are a lot of those videos then probably also not an accident... it depends on what else is around it, for example if there are 10 or 15 in the folder with 100 other pornographic videos then it is a different matter to there being 50 like that in a folder along with 5 other videos...

get a large metal pole and when he comes home hit him over the head with it, repeatedly, as hard as you can... that should help you figure out the answer to your question...

Another question, then I will stop asking ?'s If he erased the program off of the computer, can the police or a forensics person retrieve these videos if the computer were siezed? These videos were disgusting and I think he needs to be punished for them. He needs counseling. If you know or think it is possible for them to tap into his hard drive and retrieve them (or not). sarah if you viewed these files for yourself and theres more then 10 or so i would say he needs a little more then counseling.....
but i am not the judge and jury here  

as for your question yes it is possible for them to retrive the files from his hd but very unlikly unless he has commited a crimnal offence other then the ones he has commited by downloading these files or you have reported him to the police?

I called the police on Tuesday, when I initially found the videos. I asked them what to do, what would happen to him if I reported it, and then I confronted him last night about it. He wasn't shocked or in awe that this sort of thing had happened. He just tried to explain it away and went to his computer and erased the program. After all of his explaining it didn't make sense.  
Then I figured I would go right to the supposed souce. Or to people who would know the answers.
In my state, this is a class 3 felony and they will prosecute him, he will be on probation, and he will be required to attend counseling or something in that realm.

As a 4th grade teacher, I commend you, Sarah.  It must have been hard to do what you did, but I think for everyone's sake, it was the best thing to do.  I understand everyone's taste is different, but child porn does hurt a lot of innocent people  in the long run.

I can empathize with the lady who found child porn on her boyfriend's computer. I recently attempted to reload and use DVD copying software (Copy Plus 4.2) and was unable to access it because I no longer have the activation code. I visited some rather unsavory websites that promised to hold "cracks', one of which I downloaded. Unbeknownst to me a pop under window blew in and as I finished downloading and clearing out extra windows (I sometimes get a few) I was utterly disgusted to see a page full of kiddie porn.

Does anyone know how or if such sites can be reported to some authority?

2  if he is what where you doing seaching his hard drive for ?
3  when you did find what you say you have did you ask why?
4   are you still seeing him enquring mind want to know ?

 Now the only reason I say this is I have d/led a lot of big mp3s and vidio files
  from 20 to 500 megs some when I opened them days later had CP but fake names  what I did was delete them when I found such
 I d/l to share I have music that I have never listened to when I have time i sort thru and delete the junk.
