see my son downloaded music from winmx 8 months ago and we called and emailed the fbi in georgia and they said they could not use those emails against us and also one said it was ok as long as we dont sell the muisc
so i was wondering since we wrote down the dates and times and stuff we called them could that be used as to help him not get in trouble if they would ever come to get him
and whats the wsorst that can happen in his case
im worried and scared to death
someone ease my mind please one hundred percent sure

It is not a federal matter Glenna.

The Fbi are not interested in your sons activities unless he is running a website and handing out the latest blockbuster videos etc.

Please relax a little your feeling guilty over a matter that is really legal small beer is not helping your son or yourself.

Your son has commited no criminal offence so the worst that can happen is your letters ( the only evidence of any copyright infringement ) will be passed on to the copyright owners, who may decide to ask you for $3000 or thereabouts.

Thats it, you have not hurt or killed anyone here , jail is something society reserves for violent or persistant criminals not your son.

Glenna there are many types of files being shared on WinMx that are sharware, freeware, artists own works and on and on..

P2P is not illegal!

See Glenna, the real problem is that the whole police and government are 101% corrupt in certain countries, like the USA. In such countries, the government and police no longer work to protect the interests of the people, instead they're just a little scummy bunch who made friends with the mafia and terrorist organisations to rob, steal from, lie to, and generally abuse the people.

That's what we're talking about here, nothing more. So you don't have to worry at all, because if there's one thing history has taught us is that, each and every time someone tried to steal from, lie to, rob and abuse the people, he ended up with his s**t filled head in a guillotine, the way it'll always be.
