anyone else had issues with vlc?
« on: March 24, 2009, 06:23:10 pm »
i noticed on the windows binary when rendering over 80fps the video was all choppy and it ate ram up.
i went in shrunk the cache(was stealing ram from other proggies)
and happened to look under the advanced tab at cpu options
it had instruction sets enabled that my processor didnt support i disabled everything except MMX and SSE1 and it seemed to stop for the most part.
has anyone else experienced this?

I've never had any problems with VLC; however, you are telling the wrong people.

i dont like filing bug reports until ive seen it from more people then myself. if its just cause if got some tweak somewhere theres no need in wasting the developers time reading an extra bugzilla file

if the instruction sets dont exsist it wont use them...

other than generic crashes (its still alpha) ive never had problems with VLC... but ive never played an 80fps video either....

(monitor refresh is 85hz)

and daniel is right... you are asking the wrong group....
