hi all,

I've downloaded the program & set it.
But it seems that I need the password for the router.

Is it necessary? Because i don't have the password.

btw my router is apparently a Fritz!box 7050

this is what i found at the progams homepage after not being able to find the default password anywhere

Er, I just realized that my router is not at the list.
Fritz!Box 7050 is not there, there was Fritz!Box from other series.

When I started the program, it gave a screen asking for the password of the router

hmmmm true i forgot to mention that i looked at other types of the Fritz!Box 7050 like the Fritz!Box 7170 i read somewhere that they did not differ much from eachother, i am not sure what will happen if you pick that one from the list .... safest way would be to follow the link "router is not listed? click here" and get your type listed, this will take you to another program that will send screencaptures/info of your router to the programmer/creator and he will add your type to the list ASAP

Oh by the way Josh, i sorted my problem bt setting my router settings to factory, and re-doing again....every thing is working great now
but thankyou all for the help/advice you gave

Just to let you know, I decided not to do anything about the problem since the router isn't mine.
I've moved now.

I have some questions:
case1: how do you know the name of the router if your'e using LAN?
case2: windows wireless network detector only shows the router name as WLAN...
