Cmdeq hi,

Sounds like maybe you have a router or DSL modem that could need ports forwarded.

This link should help you to find the information that you need to open your ports up.

https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/routers_info.html

There you will find the link for Portforward.com also, this will give you the actual instructions you need to open ports.

The XP firewall if your using it also needs to be opened.

https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/firewall.html

That link will help you set those up.

The last thing is to make sure you go to settings in WinMX .. then Internet Connections .. and finally Incoming TCP .. make sure that is set to 'Listen on port .............
Then look at In/Out UDP and  be sure its also set to 'Send and Receive on port..........

Let me know how you get along ...

So now that I managed to make the primary connection and all three numbers are rolling (the ones above I mean) the picture has completely changed: The others upload from me but I cannot neither download not even search now. To do that is easy on secondary. On secondary I don;t lose now the people who upload from me. Before, yes, I had two versions of winmx, the old one too,now only the latest.

al-zoir, it sounds like you have forwarded the TCP port for WinMX correctly, but not the UDP port.
You should go have another look at the UDP settings. Also make sure your ISP doesn't block port 6257, you might try using another one.
The links me here gave you: https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/routers_info.html and https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/firewall.html will be good help.

Good luck!
