IFPI Lawyer Applauds Child Porn

In a rather sick and twisted abuse of ordinary folks revulsion to child porn it seem the IFPI is about to launch a campaign based on publicly claiming filesharers are swapping child porn in huge numbers to try to obtain a further tightening of internet monitoring and Cartel friendly legislation, just how low will these corporate criminals go in conspiring to rob artists and the public ?

“Child pornography is great,” International Federation of the Phonographic Industry lawyer Johan Schlüter told an audience recently a at Stockholm, Sweden seminar titled “Sweden — A Safe Haven for Pirates?”.
”It is great because politicians understand child pornography. By playing that card, we can get them to act, and start blocking sites. And once they have done that, we can get them to start blocking file-sharing sites, One day we will have a giant filter that we develop in close cooperation with IFPI and MPA,” continued Schlüter, apparently with a wide grin and sense of pride. “We continuously monitor the child porn on the net, to show the politicians that filtering works. Child porn is an issue they understand.”

Christian Engström, Member of the European Parliament for Piratpartiet, Sweden, elected to the body after an outpouring of support from the country’s youth following the conviction of the Pirate Bay, was one of three pirates in attendance at the seminar, and describes the tactic best.
“Start with child porn, which everybody agrees is revolting, and find some politicians who want to appear like they are doing something, “The big film and record companies want censorship of the net, and they are perfectly willing to cynically use child porn as an excuse to get it".

What many of you may not know is that the Big media Cartesl have been scanning p2p networks for years and know all about child porn and who is sharing it yet there is not a single case of them informing the police of their findings, why could that be ? Your guess is as good as mine folks but allowing those who refuse to aid the police to catch such scum to gain from years of turning a blind eye is just morally wrong, the IFPI  lawyers comments make one wonder if perhaps its the Cartel themselves who are sharing such filth to further draconian legislative efforts ?

This only shows, if it was needed to be shown, how far from reality the cartels are getting. It show that they suspect that their original ploy is so weak that they can't rely on it and are having to drag in this twisted argument.  If you ask me, it's a sign of some very sad and desperate people who are prepared to do and say anything.
