This forum hurts my eyes !

Don't get me wrong, I love WinMX and I love the people who kept it alive.

But the simple truth is that this forum hurts my eyes.

I would definitely come more often and participate much more if it wasn't for this ludicrous black background with shiny yellow text thing.

Please come out of of the 1990s with its dark monochromatic consoles, and put up something a little more legible and which doesn't hurt people's eyes. Beginning with a soft light background (gray, light blue, etc) and black text would help a lot.

And while this can be changed by the user on his browser, raising the default text font size up by two notches wouldn't be a bad idea either - again, people aren't in the 1990s with its 800x600 14 inch screens anymore...

you can, if you wish -- and if your browser is capable, completely override the sites stylesheet letting you change the colors as you wish....

one thing that has aways bugged me about this site is the annoying animated gifs used for read/notread threads... very hard to tell the difference with animation turned off...

umm - smf default is still there to chose.

As for any other themes - we'd need one that would allow us to have our own top bar for the wmw menu, so not everything qualifies.
Also we made some modefications that need adapting.
We had at some point several more themes installed wich I got rid of after noticing that nobody ever used them...

Anyway, we've been discussing redoing the complete forum with the upcoming release of smf 2.0 but atm our recources are spare.

Basically it's just me, and I've got an hour or two to give on the weekends atm - which are IMO better spent doing something else

So - for now you gotta switch to smf default or just live with the old one

smf default isnt there... i looked... the 'default' is this helios muliti.... others are the holiday ones and a 'bigfont' mod of multi...

what i ment by 'smf default' was the one smf ships with on new installs... used to be there (and i did use it) once upon a time...

PS smf2 is out.. its the main release...

PPS only 2hrs a weekend i cant fault you for... real life tends to take up a lot of time.. ..opera has many tweaks client side and firefox has... ... addons ... (the fox can learn quite a few tricks)

@nylly i wondered what happened... but smf default just dropped me back to the default helios multi look... the bland 'smf default' does not exsist on this site anymore....

well, I guess something is wrong here then - because I can chose and use the default smf theme.
It definitely IS there - *shrugs*

*Edit: My apologies - somewhere along the line the box for members to chose the default theme seems to have become unticked.
        It's ticked now so should be avilable to chose now.
