I for one would like to know if we can trust sherwood again as i do love this programme as it only deals with winmx and my other apps are left alone.

If it is sherwood is ok again can we post a little info on here for users to know where to go and what to do?

As i see the old sherwood post states that sherwood was out of order and no one has told of its rebirth so to speak.

I have also made this a sticky post so if it is alot of users go with sherwood and start having probs then i wuold say to post them all he so as the likes of me_here ghost and robin himself could look in from time to time to help address these issues..

I must add i am using sherwood and have no problems to report,but if this sherwood i got this A.M. is the rebirth will it still use winmxworlds block list and will it auto update for me?????

Yes Mac Sherwood is alive again!!

We have been working with RobinHood to get this back up to date and hes slaving away at his new release which addressed a problem some users had with legitimate primary, secondary, and transfer connections being refused.

I have restored the original post regarding Sherwood in the 'Other Software' thread on site, however been waiting to talk to Robin and get a official download link for his latest version. We are playing msn tag at the moment and I think hes it.. lol

Yes the old version of Sherwood has been updated to gain its block list from the WinMx World List every 12 hours. It has to convert it to its format, but so far all indications are that the older versions are working and updating.

As soon as I can confirm his newest release I will be recommending that users of Sherwood upgrade as its got some major bug fixes in it, and it also resolves the list more easily then the older versions can, leaving less to go wrong.

As of 06-05-06 Sherwood is not longer updating and is not to be considered protection for the new IP ranges we use on the list..

Its sad but I just think it was more then Robin could take care of right now..

I thought this belonged here, so people would actually see RobinHood's words.. predictably they didn't last long over at vladd1984 before being removed...
