Finding Room timesouts

I'm having a problem finding the chat room I'm wanting, (Diamond Movie Zone) Upon finding through the filter all my down/up loads timeout. If I do finally find it I add to fav's but the next time I try to enter it has changed addi. Is THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO STOP IT TIMING OUT?

Welcome to the site,
i have been in that room myself, the hash numbers do change when the room is hosted by another host, or the host re-boots his pc,
there's nothing you can do about this and it is pointless adding room to fav's because the numbers will continue to change, that is one of the great benifits of a DSL/Router/Modem, nobody can find the room.
sorry for the bad news, however, some of us are on a fixed hash, so adding to fav's is a good thing with these type of rooms.

anyway, your timming out problem can be any number of things, your port settings, are the ports forwarded correctly if you are on a router?
is your firewall allowing full access to WinMX,,
then there is the other person's ports or firewall settings, we don't have information needed,
is ut just movies or some users, or is it all downloads & users?
just a few users could be the other user's settings, all users & any file could be your settings,

if you want to pop into the WinMX help room, im sure there is someone around can test uplloads & downloads with you
