Possible project, IRC->Winmx relay bot
« on: April 14, 2011, 02:56:18 am »
Hey all, im experienced in IRC and i wanted to make a bot that would connect both to the WPN and IRC (ill start it in mirc then port it to ruby, php, python), but theres one problem.

Is there any documentation for the chat protocol? Such as an RFC. I dont want to run wireshark and find it out that way.

This is a very effiecent way to get current IRC users/hosts to integrate their client/thier mirc bot to link up with winmx.

I also decided on making advanced features for irc network owners, including making winmx users "real" users on the network and so forth, since im aware there is a relay bot somewhere.

Any ideas/help{on the protocol}/comments can be posted here and ill be happy to address them

winmx is proprietary... therefore there is no RFC .... source for several chat clients is available tho....
