Operation: Payback Hits SatelFilm.at with 'Drive By' DoS

Operation: Payback apparently went on a preemptive strike, taking Satel Film by surprise and launching a 'drive by' DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack. As of this writing, SatelFilm.at is offline. But hey, you may ask, who is Satel Film and why are they being attacked?

Satel Film is an Austrian film production company, who like many movie producers, found their material being traded online. In the difficult to read German translation of an article appearing in Die Presse, Satel Film is one of several companies looking for a court injunction against an ISP that is refusing to block a Russian movie streaming website. You can also read Anonymous' justification here.

It seems the ISP is refusing to block the Russian streaming site despite demands from the movie production companies. We'll see how this one plays out.

Update: Wega-Film.at, another production company looking for the same injunction, has also been attacked and is offline.
