my download suddenly stopped

hi when winmx stopped working i did the patch and was so pleased to find everything working fine, we was able to download music no problem, then all of a sudden we cant?
we have changed nothing on the pc, firewall allows winmx, im using win xp...
a week ago it worked fine...now all of a sudden i cant download nothing, yet people can upload from me and i can search no problem at all... this has me totally confused..
please help

sorry i thought id better fill u in more. the downloads now work on some but not many mp3 files ive check the ports and altered them to find still no luck most the files just turn red

Lindy are you familiar with the fake files that are being flooded across the network ?

Due to the fact the network has shrunk a little you may need to adjust your searches a bit to weed out many of the fakes, some people have not even noticed they are there yet  

If you follow the instruction in these tutorials I think your searches will prove to be more fruitful.

some but not many is either, bad sources, or most likely fake files..

that said if you're on dialup or a slow connection, increasing the timeouts in settings is alleged to help.. the Tutorial here "setup for 56K" might help https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/set_up_for_56k.html
