Installed the New 3.54 version of Winmx. Have problems making a primary connection and starting a search. Will only search when I have a secondary connection. Recently installed a router, and am not sure how to configure the settings in Winmx to correct this problem. Help!

that page should help you set up your router properly - basically what you need to do is forward the ports in it

if you need any more help just post here...

hi KM
i went trough the tutorial and it seems i done everything (at least when i set a custom service for my ip service router for winmx, the changes for Incoming TCP  6699 and IN/OUT UDP 6257 are enabled.) The problem is when running the winmx setup i still receive the message 'this computer is unable to receive....' What can i do in this case to set up the required tcp & udp ports?
thanks!!!

yes it's winxp2
the firewall is unabled - i use zonealarm & mcafee but they both are configured to allow winmx to connect to the net (and to play as a server in case for zone)
thanks again for the help!!
